Every year while I was growing up I would go and put flowers on the graves of our loved ones with my dad. Then I got married and I was not so good at doing this.
This year I went and put flowers on the graves with my dad and Jeanette.
As we were leaving Preston where my parents live we drove to Lewiston UT where my mom’s grave is. All the way down it was raining and windy, but I did not let the weather stop us. Then we dove down to Hyrum to put flowers on my dad’s grandparents graves. We found there graves but it took us awhile because it had been 20 years since my dad had been to there grave.
The rain finally stopped when we were done putting the flowers on the graves.
All in all it was a good day! It was also fun to talk about who you remember seeing when you were young. Every year that I lived at home we would always see the same people. There was a guy named moose but, I could not remember his name so I asked my dad what was the name of the guy that was a drunk. Funny how we remember things.
God bless America and God bless the troops that serve our country!
