This was an exciting week in Utah. On Wednesday we had a blizzard snow storm that was going to hit the whole state. The news keep saying how bad it was going to be. I was at work and so I left at 4:00 with the fear of this blizzard coming and I wanted to make sure that I was home before it hit.
The storm came in and hit my neighborhood at 6:00 PM and by 9:00 PM Xena and I were out shoveling the snow, which we only got 3 inches, but I knew that it would freeze and this is where the problem would be.
It is how funny fear hits people. My son works at Smiths and he said it was a mad house with people stocking up on batteries and things that they would need if the power went out. Fear Fear Fear of how bad the storm would be.
Thursday was Thanksgiving and this is the first year that my husband Scott had to work on that day. Every year for the past 5 years we always go to my husbands parents house. We had a nice meal and then I played cards with my kids while most of the adults were taking nap.
I woke up today and it was snowing so I shoveled the snow so that McKalya could get to work. I was a little worried about letting her dive in the snow, so I drove up to the gas station to get a hot coco and I was not sliding, so I knew she would be ok on the roads. It is funny how we worry about our kids.
After we got home from church, Xena and I went out and started to shovel, then our new neighbor guy came over with his plow and plowed the rest of the drive way. I am so grateful to him for what he did for us. He also helped 3 to 4 neighbors plow them out.
This week was a good week. Not much drama to deal with. The only thing that we really had to deal with the the fear that the news people gave us with the blizzard reports.
